SPICE- European money for AIAIC in 2018 to finance obstacle studies
AVRAM IANCU CLUJ INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT WILL BENEFIT IN 2018 FROM FUNDING FOR OBSTACLE STUDIES FROM EUROPEAN MONEY
International Airportment Avram Iancu In 2018, Cluj will benefit from funding for obstacle course studies from European funds.
Through the Association of Romanian Airports, which is a beneficiary of the SPICE Project, the International Airport Avram Iancu Cluj will benefit in 2018 from funding from INEA for the obstacle studies planned to be carried out by the end of the year. The procedures for the acquisition of the obstacle studies were started since the end of last year. Until the end of the project, in 2020 the Cluj airport will benefit from funding to carry out the obstacle studies, but also the maintenance studies from European money. (85% from EU funds 15% own contribution). Based on the obstacle studies carried out by the airports, ROMATSA will carry out the PBN flight procedures.
In 2017, through the Romanian Airports Association, 7 out of the 16 airports in Romania received European funds to carry out obstacle studies.

About the project. The Spice project is part of the implementation phase of the SESAR (Single European Sky) program aimed at increasing the efficiency of air traffic management and air navigation services by reducing the fragmentation of European airspace. By its nature, the ongoing initiative is pan-European, open to European countries. The SPICE project has a value of 39.029.792 Euros, is co-financed in proportion to 85% by the European Union through the Connecting Europe Facility program and is to be implemented between 17.02.2016 and 31.12.2020.
