Method of requesting information of public interest

To request information of public interest according to Law 544/2001 on free access to information of public interest, interested parties can fill out the following form:

The terms in which the public institution is obliged to respond to requests are:

  • 10 days from the submission of the application;
  • 30 days, if the time required to identify the requested information exceeds 10 days, but the institution has the obligation to announce this fact within 10 days;
  • 5 days, for the transmission of the refusal to communicate the requested information and the reasons for the refusal

Methods of appeal

If a person considers that his right regarding access to information of public interest has been violated, he can file an administrative complaint with the head of the public authority or institution to which the information was requested, in accordance with the provisions of art. 21 para. (2) from Law no. 544/2001 regarding free access to information of interest public, with subsequent amendments and additions, as well as of art. 32-35 of the Rules methodological application of Law no. 544/2001 regarding free access to information of interest public, approved by HG no. 123/2002, amended and supplemented by HG 478/2016.
