Avram Iancu memorial house

A typical manor house from the 1800s, built by Avram Iancu's parents themselves. Next to the parental home, annexes were later built that served as classrooms for the primary school in the village of Incești. Today, it forms a beautiful complex, open to tourists.

School certificates, documents related to the preparation and conduct of the uprising, Avram Iancu's testament, but also many popular Moți objects specific to the area, such as tools used to make chubes, tulnices or donitse, clothing items, will make the visit to Ţara Moților an authentic.

From July to September, the museum is open daily from 11am to 16pm.

Scarișoara Glacier Cave

Scarișoara Glacier is the first cave declared a Natural Monument in Romania in 1938. The cave houses the largest underground block of ice in the world (around 120.000 cubic meters with a thickness of about 16 meters), and the ice layer is over 3000 years old.
