  • In order to go through all the necessary formalities for your trip (passenger and baggage check-in, document verification, security control, customs control, etc.), the airlines recommend your arrival in the airport 2 or 3 hours before the flight. 
  • Make time for all of these: it's in your best interest to have a carefree trip!
  • As soon as you arrive at the airport, find out about your flight. Breaking news may appear. You can ask the staff at the check-in counters to clarify any ambiguities.  
  • Consult the flight information board and follow the information monitors located throughout the passenger flow. 
  • Pay attention to all announcements broadcast over the airport public address system, as well as all displayed information.
  • Registration (check-in formalities) it is done at the counter reserved for the flight you are about to travel with. The formalities consist of registering your luggage and assigning a seat on board the plane.

  • Passengers who do not show up on time for the check-in formalities they may lose their right to travel for the scheduled flight.
  • Each airline has its own policy regarding the number of bags accepted, the dimensions and the maximum weight of the items.
  • You are entitled to one or two hand luggage, but it must fall within the weight and size limits specific to each company and the type of ticket purchased. The airline you are traveling with may carry out weight and size checks before boarding, so make sure you are aware of the requirements imposed by the airline you are traveling with. 
  • Baggage or checked baggage they will be handed over at check-in and will go into the custody of the airline you are traveling with. This will issue an identification tag to your luggage and it will be picked up at your destination. The airline imposes different requirements regarding its weight and size. 
  • Any luggage weight difference against the limit imposed by the company is charged additionally, the rate is set by the airline.
  • Sporting goods or other types of oversized items are accepted by airlines under their own terms and conditions.

  • Make sure that there are no items in your luggage that may be prohibited for carriage. The fact that you forgot them is not an exception to being allowed to keep them during the trip. For more details, see List of items prohibited in checked baggage
  • We recommend that you do not carry packages or items received from other people for this purpose.

In accordance with Article 9 of Regulation (EC) 1107/2006 – quality standards regarding assistance and DOC 30 ECAC Annex J – Code of good Conduct in Ground Handling For Persons With Reduced Mobility, the following quality standards have been established with regarding service availability: Service availability upon departure - announced with 48 h in advance by SITA messages or other forms of communication. 

  • Availability 80% < 10 min waiting
  • Availability 90% < 20 min waiting
  • Availability 100% < 30 min waiting

Service availability upon departure - unannounced (direct presentation of the PMR passenger at the airport)

  • Passengers traveling with an infant or small child have priority at security checkpoints and boarding; 
  • There are nursing rooms in the Departures Terminal Mother and child. They are located both in the public area and in the restricted area. 
  • The stroller or the car seat can be considered luggage for the child under 2 years old, but for additional information, please check the travel conditions imposed by the airline you are traveling with. 
  • If accompany a minor please ensure that you are informed of the terms and conditions required for your journey from the airline or the Border Police.

  • All persons who are going to travel, as well as their luggage, are subject to security control, in order to prevent the introduction of prohibited items on board aircraft both for hand luggage and for checked luggage.   • Boarding formalities begin approximately 40 minutes before the plane's departure time.
