Start of construction works related to the first stage of execution
within the project "Taxiway parallel to the runway" 25.08.2020

As a result of accessing non-reimbursable funds through the Large Infrastructure Operational Program 2014-2020, the Avram Iancu Cluj International Airport continues its infrastructure development by carrying out the "Taxiway parallel to the runway" project, SMIS code 2014+ 125198, project co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund .

On August 6, 2020, the site was handed over to the contractor, in order to start the construction works of the new taxiway and start the site organization works.

On August 25, 2020, the construction works related to the first stage of execution (Stage I) of the project were started, which stage consists of the complete construction of the India runway and the partial construction of the runway parallel to the Hotel runway. The term of execution of the works in the first stage is 5 months.
