The Aviation-Event 2025 CLJ conference will take place on March 21 at Cluj International Airport, addressing key challenges and opportunities in the aviation industry

The international aviation conference Aviation-Event 2025 CLJ will take place on March 21, 2025, in Cluj-Napoca, Radisson Blu Hotel, bringing together industry leaders, decision-makers and experts to discuss the future of aviation in the context of constantly changing geopolitical, economic and environmental landscapes. The conference, hosted by Cluj International Airport and organized by Aviation-Event, will include a series of panels and moderated sessions aimed at addressing key industry challenges, such as decarbonization, regulatory harmonization and innovation.
The opening session will provide representatives of local administrative institutions with the opportunity to welcome the delegations and highlight the importance of aviation for the economic growth and connectivity of the region.
The host of the conference, namely Cluj International Airport, represented by General Manager of Cluj International Airport, David Ciceo, will present the aviation landscape in Romania, especially with regard to Cluj International Airport, during the moderated session Raphael Muelders, journalist at the publication La Libre Belgique.
The global aviation representative for this conference, Ms. Candace McGraw, Chair of the ACI World Board of Directors, will discuss the main aeropolitical challenges in a changing landscape, alongside Marcel Riwalsky, CEO of Aviation-Event, during the main interview of the conference.
The conference agenda will also include three moderated panel discussions
1 Panel
Europe on its own? Are the big aviation players giving up on liberalization and decarbonization?
This panel will examine the implications of policy changes on competition, environmental objectives and the future of European aviation.
2 Panel
Shaping the future of aviation will analyze the balance between established corporations and startups in stimulating innovation, exploring funding challenges, regulatory hurdles, and possible collaborations.
3 Panel
Aviation Safety and Regulations Implementation Plan will highlight the need for a unified global approach to aviation safety standards.
