Cluj-Napoca, 28.03.2025/25/20: Avram Iancu Cluj International Airport, Cluj County Council and Pegasus Airlines announce the operation of new direct flights to Istanbul starting with the summer season S2025, respectively from May XNUMX, XNUMX.
The airline Pegasus Airlines will offer direct flights to Istanbul, from Sabiha Gökçen International Airport - the second largest in Istanbul, transited by over 30 million passengers annually - to Cluj International Airport, with a frequency of 3 flights per week, on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
These new flights will facilitate passenger connectivity with the over 150 destinations in Pegasus Airlines' global route network, located in no less than 53 countries, and this is because they will respond to the growing demand from passengers who choose Istanbul both as a final destination and as a connection hub to multiple destinations in Turkey but also intercontinental destinations in the Middle East, Egypt or the CIS space, facilitating convenient and efficient travel.
Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen International Airport (SAW) serves as the main hub for low-cost carrier Pegasus Airlines. Located on the Asian side of the city, the airport offers easy access to central Istanbul via various means of transport, including the metro, public buses, taxis and shuttle services.
Pegasus Airlines has consolidated its position as one of the leading private airlines in Turkey, with operational bases at several Turkish airports. The company operates a modern fleet, including models such as Airbus A320, Airbus A321 and Boeing 737.
