The new air connection established today will make it possible for passengers to reach this internal route Cluj-Bucharest, operated for the first time by the HiSky company, in less than 50 minutes of flight.
Mr. Viorel FEDERIGI, President of the Board of Directors and Mr. David Ciceo, General Director of the International Airport Avram Iancu Cluj, they sent the following: "We appreciate the fact that a new airline, HiSky, has decided to open this domestic route to Bucharest, from Cluj International Airport. This comes in addition to what we already have in operation, with the airline partners Tarom and Blue Air, Bucharest being one of the most requested destinations, with a very high level of load. By increasing the flight operations carried out by HiSky, we want to ensure the diversity of air travel alternatives, because competition often brings down ticket prices. We are convinced that the destination will continue to be appreciated by Cluj passengers and those from the entire region served by the airport, on all traffic segments - respectively business, ethnic or tourist traffic.
The HiSky airline was launched on the aviation market in February 2020 and has been operating at Cluj International Airport since April 2021 when it positioned the first aircraft on its operational base in Cluj-Napoca, operating both regular destinations and tourist charter destinations through the partnership concluded with the tour operator Amara Tour.
Currently, along with the flights to the Romanian capital inaugurated today, the HiSky company also operates regular flights to Dublin (Ireland) and charter flights to Hurghada (Egypt). Also, in the next period, the HiSky company has scheduled charter flights from the Cluj airport to Antalya (Turkey), Monastir (Tunisia), Hurghada, Marsa Alam and Sharm El Sheikh (Egypt).
Flights are available for sale, and you can find more details about them by visiting the website www.hisky.aero.
