As a beneficiary, Avram Iancu Cluj International Airport implements the project "C3 standard hand baggage scanning equipment with integrated automatic tray management/return system"

International Airport Avram Iancu Cluj and the Ministry of Transport, Infrastructure and Communications signed on January 30, 2020, Financing Contract No. 59/30 January 2020, for the realization of the project "C3 standard hand luggage scanning equipment with integrated automatic tray management / return system ", through the Large Infrastructure Operational Program 2014-2020.
The project "C3 standard hand baggage scanning equipment with integrated automatic tray management / return system" consists in the purchase of 6 C3 standard equipment dedicated to hand baggage scanning with a higher level of detection, advanced processing capacity and an integrated automatic system of tray management and return.
Given the increase in the number of passengers and hand luggage processed / hour at the International Airport Avram Iancu Cluj RA, through the implementation of this project, the aim is to streamline the processing flow of hand luggage and passengers by reducing the waiting time of passengers at security control.
The new integrated system, which has advanced processing capability, will provide a superior level of scanning detection of liquids and large electronics inside hand luggage.
The total value of the Financing Agreement is 19.106.751,79 lei, of which the value of the European Union co-financing is 12.681.135,52 lei.
For the project "C3 standard hand baggage scanning equipment with integrated automatic tray management / return system" - SMIS code 2014+ 120737, the implementation period is 22 months, respectively between 01.08.2019 and 31.05.2021.
