Avram Iancu Cluj International Airport (CLJ) has obtained certification Airport Carbon Accreditation (ACA) Level 2 – Discount CO2 for 2023-2024! This accreditation, issued by Airport Carbon Accreditation under the administration of WSP and ACI EUROPE, recognizes our dedicated efforts in mapping and reducing CO₂ emissions, as part of the global commitment of the airport industry in the fight against climate change.
This certification underscores our ongoing efforts to promote sustainability and environmental responsibility. We are proud to be part of this important initiative and continue our journey towards a greener future.

Avram Iancu Cluj International Airport obtained the Airport Carbon Accreditation - Level 2 certification from ACI EUROPE. The accreditation represents the recognition of the efforts made by Cluj International Airport in the management and reduction of carbon emissions and at the same time, it confirms the airport's permanent concern for protecting the environment.
The best airport in Europe - under 5 million passengers per year

In October 2021, Cluj International Airport obtained the award for the best airport in Europe in the category under 5 million passengers annually.
The prize was awarded to "Avram Iancu" Cluj International Airport for the measures implemented in the management of the activity throughout the SARS-CoV-2 crisis, respectively for the retraining of the workforce in the conditions imposed by the pandemic, for the rapid recovery of passenger traffic and for the efforts the airport to bring new routes and airlines, which made Cluj International Airport now have more routes than before the pandemic.
