"Aircraft parking platform" project - SMIS code 2014+ 152326, project co-financed from the European Fund for Regional Development through the Large Infrastructure Operational Program 2014 - 2020
The Avram Iancu Cluj International Airport, as a beneficiary of European funds through the Large Infrastructure Operational Program 2014-2020 and the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, as the Management Authority, signed on June 30, 2022 Financing Contract No. 148/30.06.2022. XNUMX, to achieve the investment objective "Aircraft parking platform".
The "Aircraft parking platform" project code SMIS 2014+ 152326 is co-financed from the Regional Fund for Regional Development, through the Large Infrastructure Operational Program 2014-2020.
The objective of the project is the construction of a parking platform for aircraft with dimensions of 222.6 mx 71 m and a total built area of 32.251 m4 (bearing surfaces and abutments), which will provide XNUMX parking spaces. The new platform will be connected to the taxiway, respectively to the take-off/landing runway) and will be equipped with all the necessary beaconing equipment, so that operational activities can be carried out in safe conditions and, at the same time, provide smooth movements on the platform .
The construction of the new platform will increase the parking capacity of the aircraft and implicitly the increase of the operating capacity, ensuring optimal conditions for carrying out the servicing operations of the aircraft.
It is expected that the implementation of the project will increase the possibilities of attracting new airlines, diversifying the route network and supplementing the number of flight frequencies. At the same time, air operators will be given the opportunity to operate with larger aircraft (type C), which will increase the number of movements at the airport.
The "Aircraft parking platform" project, SMIS code 2014+152326 has an implementation period of 48 months, respectively 1.01.2020 - 31.12.2023.
The total value of the Financing Agreement is 31.283.287,86 lei, of which the amount co-financed by the European Union is 10.589.901,90 lei.
