Start of the project "Airport equipment for de-snowing/de-icing/anti-icing movement surfaces and determining the degree of braking" CODE SMIS 2014 + 155107

The Avram Iancu Cluj International Airport, as a beneficiary of European funds through the Large Infrastructure Operational Program 2014-2020 and the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, as the Management Authority, signed the Financing Agreement No. 176/16.09.2022 to achieve the investment objective "Airport equipment for de-snowing/de-icing/anti-icing movement surfaces and determining the degree of braking".

 The general objective of the project consists in the acquisition of airport equipment for de-snowing/de-icing/anti-icing movement surfaces and determining the degree of braking, which will ensure an increase in the degree of safety in the operation of aircraft and improve safety measures in accordance with national and international regulations.

 The new airport equipment for de-snowing/de-icing/anti-icing movement surfaces and determining the degree of braking will determine the correct monitoring of the state of the movement surface, ensure a high degree of braking coefficient on the airport runway and reduce the intervention time for carrying out specific operations at ground

 The total value of the Financing Agreement is 8.217.020,70 lei, of which the amount co-financed by the European Union is 2.910.235,90 lei.

 The project "Airport equipment for de-snowing/de-icing/anti-icing movement surfaces and determining the degree of braking", code SMIS 2014 + 155107 has an implementation period of 18 months, respectively between July 01, 2022 - December 31, 2023.
