As part of the Passenger Terminal Expansion project on the North Side, command meetings are held every week.
During the work sessions, which are attended by representatives of the contractor, the supervisor and the project implementation team from Cluj Airport, the project implementation stage, the work execution schedule as well as other financial and technical aspects are discussed.
The project "Expansion of the departure passenger terminal on the North side" - SMIS code 2014+ 155602 is co-financed by the European Fund for Regional Development through the Large Infrastructure Operational Program 2014 - 2020.
The main objective of the investment is to expand the Passenger Departures Terminal, towards the North, both on the ground floor of the building and on its first floor, in the area of boarding gates A1, A2, A3, intended for domestic flights and in the area of boarding gates B1, B2, B3 , B4 intended for external flights. Following the implementation of the project, the departure terminal will be expanded by approximately 7.200 square meters and the aircraft parking platform by nearly 9.000 square meters, which will lead to increased processing capacity and passenger comfort. The new spaces will be equipped with state-of-the-art security devices of the C3 standard type, with two boarding gates for external flights and one boarding gate for domestic flights to be built.
