Avram Iancu Cluj International Airport, an autonomous authority under the Cluj County Council, as a beneficiary of non-refundable funds, announces the completion of the project "Increasing passenger safety and security at Avram Iancu Cluj International Airport - Ensuring the safety of passengers at Avram Iancu Cluj International Airport". The project was implemented as a result of the conclusion of the Financing Agreement No. 187/02.11.2022 between Avram Iancu Cluj International Airport and the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, as the Management Authority.

The general objective of the project was to equip the Avram Iancu Cluj International Airport with surveillance equipment that will ensure an increase in the level of security at the airport and safety equipment for the maintenance of movement surfaces and air operations and for the removal of rubber tracks from the runway .

Thus, during the project, a closed-circuit television system, perimeter surveillance and access control systems were implemented, and a smart fence equipped with high-performance surveillance equipment with the ability to quickly detect break-ins was created. in the secure area of ​​the airport.
Also purchased were equipment to remove rubber marks from movement surfaces and equipment to maintain grass surfaces in the air operations area.
