From 2026, Cluj residents will fly to three new destinations in Greece and Italy operated by AnimaWings

Cluj-Napoca, November 21, 2025 – AnimaWings, the 100% Romanian airline, continues to expand its operations in Transylvania and launches its route program for the 2026 summer season with three new destinations from Cluj. The new connections include Athens (ATH), Olbia – Sardinia (OLB) and Thessaloniki (SKG), operated on a regular or charter basis, in partnership with tour operators.

New routes operated from Cluj from 2026

Starting from March 29 2026, AnimaWings will operate the route Cluj – Athens, on a regular basis, throughout the year, with two weekly flights, on weekdays Thursday and Sunday, at rates from 79.99 euros one way.

In period June 2 – September 29, 2026, the company introduces the regular route Cluj – Olbia (Sardinia), with weekly operation on the day of Tuesday and prices starting from 99.99 euros each way.

Also, in the interval April 4 – October 24, 2026, the route will be operated in charter mode Cluj – Thessaloniki, every Saturday, with fares from 121 euros one way.

Flights to regular routes (Athens and Olbia-Sardinia) will be operated according to the schedule in the following table, and tickets are already available on the airline's website. www.animawings.com.

The launch of these routes marks an important step in consolidating the company's presence in the region, which is becoming one of the key departure points for holiday destinations in Greece and Italy. All frequencies are designed for ideal departures during stays and to meet the travel habits of passengers in the region. And the airline tickets include cabin baggage (2 pieces of 8kg and 4kg), seat selection from the moment of booking, and free online and offline check-in (at the airport).

Cluj thus aligns itself with European hubs, becoming a strategic point for tourists looking for stays, city breaks or family holidays in Greece and Italy. The new routes complement the other direct flights already operating from Cluj to Istanbul and Bucharest (13 weekly frequencies).

In addition to the new routes launched from Cluj, AnimaWings recently announced its full summer route program for summer 2026, which includes 19 holiday destinations in Greece and Spain, with departures from Bucharest, Timisoara, Iași, Cluj-Napoca and Craiova. The summer program includes new routes such as Thessaloniki, Kefalonia, Mallorca and Kavala, alongside the company's already established destinations.
