PRESS RELEASE – Avram Iancu Cluj International Airport and Wizz Air announce the expansion of its route network with 4 new destinations

Cluj-Napoca, 14.08.2025: Avram Iancu Cluj International Airport, Cluj County Council and the airline Wizz Air announce the expansion of its destination network for the 2025-2026 winter season and the 2026 summer season with four new international routes: Marrakesh (Morocco), Stockholm Skavsta (Sweden), Oslo Sandefjord Torp (Norway) and Milan Malpensa (Italy).

Thus, with the start of this year's winter season, passengers will be able to travel from Cluj airport to Marrakesh, through direct Wizz Air flights, which will be operated starting from October 26 2025with 2 frequencies per week, in the days of Thursday and Sunday.

Your October 27 2025 flights to will also start Stockholm Skavsta, with 2 frequencies per week, in the days Monday and Friday, and from October 28 2025 Wizz Air will operate flights to Oslo Sandefjord Torp with 2 frequencies per week, in the days of Tuesday and Saturday.

Flights to destinations Marrakesh and Oslo Sandefjord Torp are operated in absolute premiere at Cluj airport, and regarding flights to Stockholm Skavsta, these were also operated at the airport in 2017.

Also, starting next spring, with the start of the 2026 summer season, respectively from March 29 2026, direct flights will start to a new destination in Italy, Milan-Malpensa, operated in absolute premiere by Wizz Air from Cluj International Airport. The flights will be operated with 4 frequencies per week, in the days of Monday, Wednesday, Friday and SundayThe Milan-Malpensa destination is the 8th destination in Italy available from Cluj airport.

We would like to point out that in the winter season of this year, Wizz Air will resume operating flights to Billund (Denmark), starting from October 27, 2025, with 2 frequencies per week, on Mondays and Fridays. Also, from October 27, 2025, flights to Tel Aviv (Israel), with 3 frequencies per week, on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
