Scandinavia, a flight away from Transylvania: Norwegian inaugurates direct flights to Oslo and Copenhagen in June from Cluj International Airport

Cluj-Napoca, June 19, 2026: Avram Iancu Cluj International Airport and Cluj County Council announce the start of direct flights operated by Norwegian Air to Oslo and Copenhagen, two of the most important capitals of Northern Europe. The new routes offer passengers from all over Transylvania fast and convenient access not only to Norway and Denmark, but also to over 80 destinations in Scandinavia and Northern Europe, through the connections available from the two northern hubs.

Starting with June 20 2026, Norwegian will operate direct flights between Cluj-Napoca and Oslo Gardermoen, Norway's main airport, and from June 28 2026 the company will also inaugurate direct flights to Copenhagen, one of the most important air connectivity centers in the Nordic region.

Through the two airports, passengers who choose to travel from Cluj International Airport will benefit from fast connections to important cities such as Stockholm, Helsinki, Reykjavik, Bergen, Stavanger, Trondheim, Tromsø, Gothenburg, Aarhus and many other destinations in northern Europe, transforming Cluj into a true gateway to Scandinavia.
