Press release 13.11.2023 - Completion of the project "Equipping with PSI equipment and facilities and medical emergencies", SMIS code 2014+ 120744

The Avram Iancu Cluj International Airport, an autonomous management under the Cluj County Council, announces the completion of the project from non-refundable funds "Equipping with PSI equipment and facilities and medical emergencies", SMIS code +2014 120744, implemented on the basis of Financing Contract No. 95/22.03.2021 concluded with the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure.

The objective of the project consisted in equipping the Avram Iancu Cluj International Airport with the latest generation equipment for extinguishing fires and with equipment for interventions in case of medical emergencies. Thus, 2 vehicles for preventing and extinguishing fires, a rapid intervention vehicle, 100 stretchers, 10 aluminized suits and 4 medical defibrillators were purchased.
Also, as part of the project, a PSI training ground was purchased that allows the training of firefighters of the Private Emergency Service of the Cluj International Airport.

The PSI vehicles purchased within the project allow firefighters to intervene promptly in any area of ​​the airport, in the event of an incident/accident, and the 10 aluminized suits will ensure the protection of firefighters during interventions.
The defibrillators, located in the arrivals and departures terminals of the airport, will be used by the medical staff to provide first aid in the shortest possible time.
