Press release 06.07.2022/XNUMX/XNUMX - Start of the "Aircraft parking platform" project

The Avram Iancu Cluj International Airport, as a beneficiary of European funds through the Large Infrastructure Operational Program 2014-2020 and the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, as the Management Authority, signed on June 30, 2022 Financing Contract No. 148/30.06.2022. XNUMX, to achieve the investment objective "Aircraft parking platform".

The objective of the project is the construction of a new aircraft parking platform, in accordance with the objectives of environmental protection, which will ensure the addition of the number of parking spaces for aircraft, contributing to the increase of connectivity and mobility of the area served by Avram Iancu Cluj International Airport.

The construction of the new platform will increase the parking capacity of the aircraft and will ensure optimal conditions for carrying out their operational servicing activities. Also, the implementation of the project will provide opportunities to attract new airlines, introduce new destinations, increase the number of frequencies and implicitly increase the degree of confidence of air operators in terms of operating in safe and secure conditions on Cluj airport.
