The Avram Iancu Cluj International Airport, an autonomous management under the Cluj County Council, as a beneficiary of European funds through the Large Infrastructure Operational Program 2014-2020 and the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, as the Management Authority, signed Financing Contract No. 213 /02.03.2023 for the achievement of the investment objective "PSI draw building, furnished and equipped".
The objective of the project consists in the construction of a PSI shed equipped and equipped with equipment to ensure the parking and maintenance of special vehicles, as well as the provision of utilities for the staff of the Private Emergency Service of the airport.
Achieving the PSI draw investment objective will ensure an increase in the capacity of firefighters to intervene in any risk area of the airport in the event of an accident/incident, and at the same time, it will reduce the reaction and intervention times of the private service personnel for emergency situations in the event an emergency situation.
At the end of the project, the PSI draw will ensure an optimal framework for the activities of the intervention personnel, and the air operations and those for servicing aircraft on the ground at Avram Iancu Cluj International Airport will be carried out in safe and secure conditions, in accordance with the regulations European and national in the field of civil aviation.
The total value of the Financing Agreement is 17.282.733,93 lei, of which the amount co-financed by the European Union is 12.380.615,91 lei. The project "PSI shed building, equipped and equipped", SMIS code 2014+ 141838 has an implementation period of 60 months, respectively between 01.09.2019 and 31.12.2023.
